Italian shipyard Azimut has announced a mid-level addition to its popular Magellano series with the unveiling of the Magellano 66.
The 20 metre model “represents the ideal solution for connoisseurs who love cruising for long distances in a variety of sea conditions,” according to the yard.
The model follows in the footsteps of the well-established Magellano 25 Metri, the flagship of the series, and the entry-level Magellano 14 Metri. Also in the works is a Magellano 30 Metri, which eclipses the 25.
Built in carbon fibre, the 66 will be lightweight and fuel-efficeint, with a hull designed in collaboration with P.L.A.N.A that promises to cut CO2 emissions by up to 20% at speeds from 15 to 22 knots, when compared to regular hard-chined hulls.

That flexibility extends to the exterior, with options to add an American bar on the aft lounge area, or the opportunity to convert the cockpit dining area into a spacious shaded relaxation zone.
Accommodation is split across four cabins with an additional cabin for crew. The fourth cabin can be used either as a functional area (for the pantry or storage for sports equipment) or be fitted with bunk beds to provide additional berths.
Details about when the yacht will make its debut have not yet been revealed.
