Mangusta Yachts, a brand of Overmarine, has announced the in-house sale of a 44 metre Mangusta Oceano superyacht, currently under construction at the yard’s Viareggio facility.
The yacht is the third unit in the Mangusta Oceano series, which was revealed in a virtual press conference in July 2021.
President of Mangustas America, Stefano Arlunno, called the model: “the spiritual successor to [previous model] Mangusta Oceano 43.”
Constructed in steel and aluminium, the yacht will sport the exterior lines of Alberto Mancini who also designed the interior, in collaboration with Overmarine’s in-house design team.
Speaking about the sale, Arlunno said: “The American client was particularly taken with the amount of glazed surfaces and large sliding doors that keep all onboard areas seamlessly connected.”
Stand out design features include two infinity pools, with one on the foredeck and one on the 104 sqm sun deck. Dubbed “the Island”, the foredeck’s pool is accessible via a teak gangway alongside a lounging area surrounded by water.
Elsewhere, a transom on the aft beach club alongside unfolding balconies on either side increase the area by 70sqm.
Accommodation will be for up to 12 guests in five cabins, comprising of a master suite and four additional staterooms, three of which have Pullmans.
Twin MTU 12V000M86 diesel engines provide a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots, with a range of 4,500 nautical miles possible.
A 2023 delivery has been slated for the third unit, while construction has started on spec for the fourth hull which has an expected delivery date in 2024.
