Turkish shipyard Numarine has unveiled the latest offering to its portfolio with a new series of explorer yachts. The new range, known as the Classic Line, begins with two yacht models that build upon the yard's existing long-range platforms while introducing a "new layer of design and lifestyle expression".
Long-standing Numarine collaborator, Can Yalman, is responsible for the exterior design, which, according to the yard, emerged from a joint desire to reinterpret classical yacht aesthetics through a fresh take on modern exploration. The yachts have been developed to embrace "proportion, clarity and elegance".
"The Classic Line emerged quite naturally from a period of reflection," explained Yalman. "After years of working on highly optimised, contemporary explorer yachts, there was a desire to reconnect with more timeless principles of naval design."
He continued: "At the same time, we sensed a growing desire for this direction, perhaps a need for a more reflective, balanced approach to yachting. One that moves away from excess, instead emphasises harmony, connection with nature and a more timeless, almost romantic idea of life at sea."
Naval architecture has been developed by Umberto Tagliavini, while the yachts' initial interiors have been penned by the Milan-based studio and brand of the Viken Group, Hot Lab. Tagliavini commented on the collaboration: “With the new Classic superyacht line, we are proud to maintain the same core principles of efficiency, seaworthiness, stability and autonomy for which Numarine is known."
The first models unveiled from the line are the 38XPC and 39MXPC - both introducing a "new layer" of expression but in their own identity. The 39-metre 39MXPC emerges from the idea of enhanced onboard living, where a reimagined aft section with a Jacuzzi has been designed as a large, open terrace over the water for a more social, "Mediterranean-style" experience (hence the M in the name). The 38-metre 38XPC, meanwhile, focuses on a more classic layout inspired by gentlemen’s yachts and traditional yachting heritage.
"Compared to previous Numarine models, the shift is not in capability, but in how that capability is experienced and expressed, with greater emphasis on atmosphere, lifestyle and timeless design," a statement from the yard explained.
"This Classic Line represents a natural and strategic evolution for Numarine," added Patrik von Sydow, CEO at Numarine. "It allows us to broaden our design language and reach a wider audience while staying true to the core principles that define the brand: efficiency, capability and usability. In an industry often driven by fast-changing trends, the Classic Line offers a more enduring perspective: yachts designed not just for today, but for lasting relevance. We are really excited to see how the industry reacts!"
According to BOATPro, the yard currently has eight yachts in build. The announcement of the new line comes after the shipyard presented the 27XP yacht model at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival.
