Oyster Yachts has announced that entries are now open for the Oyster World Rally 2028-2029. The 16-month event will see a fleet of 30 yachts embark on a fully-supported circumnavigation of the world.
When the journey is complete, the yachts will have sailed 27,000 nautical miles and made 27 stopovers. The rally begins in Antigua, with Tahiti, Cairns, Grenada and an extended stopover in Cape Town for New Year's celebrations also on the agenda.
Prospective entrants can choose from three tailored packages. The Adventurer package is standard for all participants and provides local insight and support throughout the rally. Practical matters are also taken care of, including technical support, maintenance, berthing arrangements, crew fees and immigration and customs.
The Explorer package offers additional activities and experiences, dinner reservations and access to exclusive parties.
Finally, the Voyager package offers everything within the Adventurer and Explorer packages plus the build of a new Oyster yacht customised to the participants' specification, a crew to sail and manage her and comprehensive adventure planning by Oyster's concierge service.
