First look: Amels reveals interiors of 60m Entourage

Amels has revealed the "serene" interior of its new 60-metre superyacht Entourage in a new set of never-before-seen images. Delivered in late February, the project's full-custom interior was designed by Canadian studio Burdifilek to fulfil a brief for multi-functional spaces optimised for socialising.

Formerly known as Project Witchcraft, Entourage is the second hull in the Dutch shipyard's Amels 60 series. The project was sold by Moran Yacht & Ship, marking the seventh collaboration between Amels and the brokerage and management firm.

Entourage is one of two Limited Editions 60 models designed in collaboration with Espen Øino. While the first hull in the series, Come Together, features distinctive geometric windows that are set to be an Amels 60 signature, the design team customised Entourage to include long strips of glazing that allow additional light into the interior.

Other customisations and "fine-tuning" can be seen throughout the 830GT yacht, including an extended bridge deck and sundeck, which were requested by the owner and will now be implemented in all future builds. The owner also borrowed inspiration from the world of real estate to request overheads that would be "free of domes", according to Arie Midavaine, project manager at Damen Yachting. Entourage also has a "tucked-away" staircase structure that frees up more space in the passageway.

“The owner knew exactly how he wanted to entertain and how he wanted the flow through the spaces to be. When the sun sets, the yacht transforms, shifting from day to night, evoking a completely different feeling,” explained Diego Burdi, Burdifilek’s co-founder. Drawing on experience from land-based designs including the W Hotel, the studio has used a mix of bleached wood, silky carpets, curved sofas and organic shapes.

Entourage can accommodate 12 guests and 13 crew, with well-considered crew spaces that include enhanced laundry and dry storage space. Highlights of the guest accommodation configuration include a main deck owner's suite that spans 162 square metres and benefits from a fold-down balcony, lounge area, twin bathrooms and an adjoining twin suite that makes the layout flexible and family-friendly.

The sundeck has maximised the 1.5-metre extension and the absence of awning poles with a Jacuzzi, bar, L-shaped seating and separate dining area. On the foredeck, there is space for two tenders and two waverunners, with additional toys such as SeaBobs, and wakeboards stored in the beach club. Here, there is also a sauna, dayhead and gym equipment.

Entourage is powered by an IMO Tier III compliant hybrid propulsion system, which Damen Yachting calls "the advanced guard of a new generation of yachting".The collaborative effort between the owner and design team has resulted in an "extremely well-optimised" superyacht, according to Espen Øino.

“We are very proud of the many customisations we were able to implement into this platform, which is a testament to the Damen Yachting engineering and production team,” said Sean Moran, managing director at Moran Yacht & Ship.

“The input from Moran Yacht & Ship has led to an even better yacht,” added Midavaine. The yacht will charter with Moran Yacht & Ship from €435,000 per week.
