Sanlorenzo reveals 36.92m SL120 asymmetric yacht model

11 December 2020 • Written by Miranda Blazeby

Sanlorenzo has revealed a new flagship of the SL line; the 36.92 metre superyacht model SL120.

Taking the yard’s asymmetric layout “to new heights”, the model follows in the footsteps of the 31.1 metre SL102.

The boat’s asymmetric design, which features a single side deck matched on the opposite side with a widebody design, was first announced in 2015 with American car designer Chris Bangle.

However, both the SL102 and SL120 were designed by Zuccon International Project.

The second model prioritises space, functional quality and on-board liveability, which emphasising the indoor/ outdoor connection.

The starboard side deck has been eliminated, making way for a large dining room with full height windows. The sole side deck sits on the port side of the main deck and leads to the large sunbathing area on the foredeck. Owners have the option to replace a C-shaped sofa facing the deckhouse with a Jacuzzi.

The full beam owner’s cabin at the bow has direct access to a 15 square metre outdoor lounge at the bow.

The tender garage aft can be transformed into a 45 square metre beach club thanks to folding terraces.

Power comes from a pair of twin MTU 16V2000M96L engines for a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots.
