The biggest yachts to look out for at the 2026 St Barths Bucket

Rising Sun

Commissioned by Larry Ellison, co-founder of the billion-dollar tech corporation Oracle, Rising Star was delivered by the German shipyard in 2004 and realised in collaboration with designer Jon Bannenberg as the last yacht to come from his legendary drawing boards. Her military-esque profile with a lean destroyer-type hull and extensive use of structural glass sets her apart from other conventional motor yachts. With 8,000 square metres of living space on board, Rising Sun sleeps 18 lucky guests who can benefit from exclusive amenities such as a double-height cinema, basketball court and a wine cellar.

Black Pearl

Shadowed only by Koru at 127 metres, the world's second largest sailing yacht Black Pearl took the industry by storm following her delivery in 2018. Complementing her size, she came with the world's largest Dynarig (at the time), set over three towering carbon masts that can propel the sailing yacht to a maximum speed of 20 knots. In 2025, Black Pearl hit the headlines with the reveal of her previously unseen interiors, complete with silk and gold detailing in the style of King Louis XVI. Her layout is also unconventional, with the owner placing emphasis on the main saloon and a huge private study, rather than his cabin, which is situated on the lower deck.

Moonrise

Another record-breaker, Moonrise was the largest superyacht ever built in the Netherlands at the time of her launch. She's remained fairly private since 2020, though her "sensual" lines by Studio De Voogt, roomy 15.5-metre beam and helipad make for a striking sight wherever she cruises. The judges of the World Superyacht Awards were also allowed a peek on board – including at her contemporary Rémi Tessier interiors – which led to Moonrise clinching a win in her size category at the 2021 edition. Though, for any interested buyers, she is listed for sale with Burgess asking €325,000,000.

Obsidian

The first in Feadship's new generation of reduced-emission vessels, Obsidian will be another eye-catching addition to this year's Bucket. Her glinting, futuristic exterior is by British studio RWD in collaboration with MONK Design, with a cutting-edge underwater lounge to match. The brief for Obsidian was to be more energy efficient and emit less carbon than Feadship’s first hybrid yacht, the 83.5-metre Savannah, which launched in 2015. And Obsidian delivers, with 4.5 times more electrical storage capacity than the earlier build.

Go

Builder: Turquoise Yachts

Ordered by a first-time owner, Go was a bold project in scope and design. The Turkish yard had already begun building what would become its new flagship before the owner stepped in to add some custom interior touches. This included turquoise enamelling, a glass-blown Dale Chihuly sculpture and 10 tonnes of mirror-polished steel – the latter being so heavy that Turquoise had to re-engineer the yacht to accommodate. Her distinctive, sweeping exterior is by London-based H2 Yacht Design, with her hull painted a conspicious (and punny) shade of "Island Turquoise".

Utopia

Aptly named, Utopia features timeless exterior lines penned by the Dutch yard's own De Voogt Naval Architects while her bright interiors come from the stylings of British studio RWD. The tri deck yacht stands tall and proud, crowned by a sprawling sundeck where guests can soak in the Jacuzzi - a perfect viewpoint from which to observe the upcoming regatta. She underwent a comprehensive refit in 2018 to "consolidate her position as one of the most successful yachts on the charter market," according to Feadship.

Firebird

Delivered in 2007, Firebird is every bit the classic Feadship – on the outside. But those who step on board will see the eccentric fruits of her 2023 refit, including a huge terracotta bubble-like sofa, a showpiece marble bar and a reconfigured split-level master suite with an office space. Firebird accommodates up to 12 guests and has a longstanding crew of 19 who have a whole host of entertainment up their sleeves, including a personal trainer and yoga instructor.

Nebula

The Spanish-built catamaran Nebula received the Judges' Special Award at the 2023 World Superyacht Awards - the sole support vessel qualifying for the awards that year. Her status as a support vessel does not make her any less striking: one glance at the streak of orange hugging her bright white double aluminium hulls is enough to intrigue spectators. Her naval architecture comes from Incat Crowther, while her interiors, penned by Schwalgien Yacht Design, were developed to a brief that prioritised the crew feeling at home, which inspired a soundproofed "phone booth" area to be installed in the crew lounge. Attendees of the St Barths Bucket should also watch out for Nebula's identical custom 12.3-metre tender catamaran zipping around.

Sycara V

Length: 68m

Built in steel and aluminium by the German shipyard Nobiskrug, Sycara V features a narrow blue-black hull which cuts effortlessly through the water. She was designed with maximum interior volume in mind, with a more than 25-metre stretch from the dining room to the library on her main deck, which gives the impression of living in a penthouse. This spacious design choice came from Craig Beale of Pure Detail, who penned both her interiors and exteriors. Delivered in 2010, she became a winner at the 2011 World Superyacht Awards.
