First 29.3m Sunreef 100 Eco sold

31 October 2022 • Written by Katia Damborsky

Polish shipyard Sunreef Yachts has announced the sale of the first 29.3 metre Sunreef 100 Eco. The sale was announced during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2022, with the initial engineering work already underway and the keel set to be laid in six months.

Described as “the essence of sustainable superyacht design”, the all-electric model will be fitted with 270 kW electric engines, high-performance batteries and 242.5 square metres of solar panels, enabling it to generate up to 46kWp.

Key features of this model include a full-beam main saloon with an owner's suite forward. A passageway to the foredeck of the yacht is deliberately narrow and can be closed off at the request of the owner to ensure complete privacy.

Twin tender garages can be found just aft of the yacht's unfolding bulwarks, with fast charging points that are compatible with electric toys and tenders. The yard anticipates a 45 minute charging time for electric tenders.

Elsewhere, the yacht will feature “responsibly sourced or recycled finishing materials” as well as an energy-saving air conditioning system. Accommodation will be for a total of 12 guests alongside a spa, gym, bar and office.

The model can be fitted with a spa pool on the flybridge, but the owner of hull number one has chosen to forego this option.

Speaking at the press conference, Sunreef vice president Nicolas Lapp said he was proud of Sunreef's pioneering technology. "The things we are doing are today are the things that [other yards] will do tomorrow," said Lapp.

The model adds to the yard's all-electric yacht range, which also includes the 50 Eco, 60 Eco, 70 Eco and 80 Eco.

The yard also used the boat show to announce a new 16 metre model named the 55 Open Sunreef Power.
