Cannes Collection will be returning for its second year from June 8-11, 2017 to bring together the top end in yachting, aviation, property and luxury living at one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful locations. Designed to offer the best of the best from across the globe, if you missed the 2016 event, here are five reasons to save the date for 2017 now.

Get a head start on the Med season

Perfectly positioned to kick off your Med season in style, Cannes Collection is the only place you can see luxury yachts available to buy or charter before the season really gets under way. While traditional spring shows, such as MYBA in Barcelona and the Palma Yacht Show, are weighted towards trade, Cannes Collection has been set up to allow prospective buyers to take superyachts out on the water for sea trials. As seasoned owners will know, this is unusual even at larger shows like Monaco meaning you can get a real feel your new yacht.

The auctions

Already have a yacht you love? Then why not add to your supercar or watch collection instead. Cannes Collection will play host to classic car and vintage watch auctions featuring exclusive lots including Ferraris, Maseratis and Aston Martins. Romain Réa - one of the most highly respected and well-known experts in the world of horology - will preside over the watch auctions, which will focus on rare pieces from private collections.

Money-can’t-buy experiences

Far more than just a chance to pick up some amazing luxury goods, Cannes Collection will also offer VIP guests a range of money-can’t-buy-experiences. Of particular interest to those with a love of yachting is the chance to enjoy the thrill of co-piloting a Powerboat Racing vessel capable of speeds up to 135 knots. Guests will share the cockpit with Morgan Baiocchi, who recently smashed the world record for racing between St Tropez and Calvi, Corsica, coming in at just under 1 hour 45 minutes - a full 30 minutes quicker than the previous record.

Pampering for all

While women, as always, will be well catered for in the pampering department, Cannes Collection will also be putting a focus on male pampering to help guests discover the luxury of truly looking after themselves. Take time out from exploring the busy dockside and head over to the Cannes Collection Gentlemen’s Club to indulge in a traditional wet shave followed by an appointment with a Savile Row tailor. Finish with a hand-rolled cigar and exceptional whisky or brandy to experience real relaxation.

The shopping

Above all, the greatest thing Cannes Collection has to offer visitors is the opportunity to see, experience and take home such a huge range of luxury items in once place. From helicopters and superyachts to jewellery and prestige cars, it’s the only place on the Riviera to fall in love with the world’s most exquisite items without worrying about waitlists.
