Hello,

We want to make Boat International the best destination for owners and lovers of superyachts, and we need your help to tell us more about yourselves and what interests you.

Our reader survey covers work, income, interests and hobbies, and most importantly – yacht ownership. We will use your responses to inform the boats we write about, the subjects we cover, and the advertising you will see.

It will take 5-10 minutes to complete. All answers are completely anonymous, and the responses are collected by our research partner, Tapestry.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Magic Johnson – Siren

For the duration of August this year, retired professional basketball player Magic Johnson cruised around the Mediterranean on board 73.5 metre Siren, delivered by Nobiskrug in 2008. He was joined by his wife Earlitha and his children, Andre, Elisa and EJ. Various friends, including Samuel L. Jackson and his family, dropped in throughout the trip. When leaving the superyacht on August 30, he gave every crew member a jersey of his former team the LA Lakers.

Highlights on board Siren include a private cinema, an extraordinary master suite complete with fold-down balcony and office, spa and gym facilities as well as a masseuse, personal trainer and beauty therapist. Her deck space boasts a helipad, Jacuzzi, al fresco cinema and numerous fine dining and lounge areas.

In 2015, Johnson chartered the 70.41 metre Amadeus – now known as Felix – for six weeks in the Mediterranean.

Burgess manages Siren for charter, which has a weekly winter rate starting from €490,000 in the low season and €574,000 in the high season. In summer, her low season rate starts from €553,000 while her high season rate starts from €623,000.
