Why charter Thanuja?

Delivered in 2011 by the Turkish shipyard Concept Yachts, Thanuja began life as the 43-metre superyacht Grayzone. This season, however, the yacht for charter is almost unrecognisable, having undergone such an extensive refit that she is now considered a new-build project. For charter, this is a whole new proposition, with an increase in volume, new guest and crew areas and a new owner's suite.

“This is a great example of human-centred design,” says travel and charter editor, Georgia Boscawen. “You can tell the owner really thought about how the perfect day should play out with elements like the coffee station in the master cabin and the extended aft deck.”

After the refit, Thanuja exudes a vibrant atmosphere, rich in texture. The main saloon boasts a palette of cream, blue and grey, complemented by a harmonious blend of light and dark woods, along with striking light installations. The decks are now much larger too, with lots of space for entertaining and al fresco dining.

Interior mood

As guests step aboard, they will encounter a fresh, clean, and contemporary aesthetic throughout. The interiors are imbued with texture, showcasing a harmonious blend of light and dark tones. In the main saloon, the palette is deep navy blue, ivory and charcoal grey, creating a rich contrast that feels both crisp and calming. The space is further enhanced by black lacquered surfaces, brushed bronze details, and warm, inviting lighting. Rich mahogany fixtures and elegant shell marble accents also make up the space.

The upper deck lounge has yet more seating and a large sit-up bar, perfect for an aperitif before dinner out on deck. Soft taupes, Champagne and olive green tones offer a different feel from the main saloon, yet it still feels elegant and relaxed.

Thanks to her recently extended LOA, Thanuja boasts an impressive amount of deck space. She now features a newly designed beach club adorned with blue furnishings and a hydraulic swim platform, allowing guests to bask in the sun just inches from the water's edge. The sundeck is home to a Jacuzzi, ample lounge area and sunpads for relaxation. Furthermore, the yacht's refit included the replacement of all teak decking, ensuring a fresh and rejuvenated feel throughout.

  • New teak
  • Plenty of lounge space on the aft deck - perfect for aperitifs
  • New beach club with new sofas and water toys
  • Hydraulic swim platform to hop straight on water toys or a tender

How many does Thanuja sleep?

Thanuja accommodates 10 guests across five well-appointed cabins. The new master cabin was a focal point of the refit and is now a 38-square-metre master suite with a seating area, dressing room and a large bathroom.

  • Five large cabins with a flexible twin or double arrangement
  • A 38-square-metre master cabin

Capable of providing entertainment for all ages, Thanuja offers a wide range of equipment for fun and fitness on and off the water. She has a new gym on board and an array of water toys included on board:
