Woody Edmiston at Edmiston & Company has been appointed the central agent for expedition hire of the 74m exploration and research motor yacht Pegaso, designed by H2 Yacht Design with an interior by Mark Berryman.

Built to Lloyds’ commercial research vessel standards by the Freire shipyard in Vigo, Spain and delivered to her owner this month, Pegaso is one of most significant new launches.

Specifically built for worldwide cruising and exploration with a 10,000 nautical mile range at 14 knots, and a submarine and a commercially certified helipad, there are few corners of the world’s oceans which are out of reach.

With over 880m² of luxurious accommodation across four decks, Pegaso has five guest suites and a penthouse owner’s deck with 360 degree views, office and private terraces forward and aft. The helideck, rated for an EC 130, doubles up as a huge sundeck with spa pool and state-of-the-art gym and observation lounge forward. Whether guests want to entertain or relax, the bridge deck caters for all tastes, with a dining area and bar and a large saloon which converts into a cinema with 120” screen.

The aft deck has extensive seating and a large dining table and bar for entertaining. The VIP suite and four guest staterooms are located on the main deck and are accessed forward from the central lobby, as are the three additional staff cabins.

Pegaso carries an extensive range of exploration and watersports equipment from the 5 man submarine certified to 160 metres to two large tenders including a Goldfish sportsboat, four jet skis and the latest scuba diving equipment.

Exclusively available through Edmiston, Pegaso will be exploring the Mediterranean this summer before she leaves to begin expeditions across the world’s oceans from 2013.
