Captain Ryan Butterwick has added a thrilling new toy to the 58m (191’) motor yacht Carpe Diem – a Jetovator jet bike.
The lightweight Jetovator is propelled by water jets via a hose connection to the yacht’s Waverunner which maintains steering control for added safety. The Jetovator can fly over the ocean up to 25 feet at speeds up to 25 mph.
With enviable deck spaces and a flexible accommodation layout for up to 12 guests, Carpe Diem has received the dual accolade of being named a finalist for both the World Superyacht Awards and The Showboats Design Awards in 2012.
Carpe Diem__'s stunning interior features a combination of dark woods, pale carpets and neutral furnishings, and is beautifully decorated with vintage fashion photography and art deco antiques. Among yachts of her size Carpe Diem is unique in offering three full-width suites with king-sized beds: the owner's suite on the main deck forward, and on the lower deck a VIP suite aft and, at the cost of reducing guest numbers to 10, a further full-beam VIP suite forward. Two further double cabins are positioned amidships between the VIP suites.
Outdoors, Carpe Diem offers spacious seating on the main aft deck and alfresco dining on the bridge deck aft, which also boasts a full-width stern settee. The sundeck has seating and wet bar beneath the hardtop and, just forward, a Jacuzzi with a huge sunbed and further settees to port and starboard. Removable awnings are available on all three aft decks for those who prefer shade.
Two tenders, a 23-foot Novurania chase boat and a 22-foot Nautica Landing Craft, as well as a 15-foot Novurania Inflatable Rescue Boat and four SeaDoo GTX jet skis plus the new Jetovator, position Carpe Diem as one of the best equipped charter yachts.
