TAG Heuer Releases Limited Edition Watch for Grand Prix Historique de Monaco Race

11 May 2020 • Written by Olivia Michel

Luxury Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer has been announced as the official timekeeper and sponsor for the Grand Prix Historique de Monaco, releasing a limited edition watch to celebrate its partnership with the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM).

The Grand Prix Historique de Monaco is a biennial series of races for classic cars, showcasing vintage models from the 1930s to the 1970s as they race around Monaco’s scenic track.

The stunning model sports red and white racing colours.

TAG Heuer is already the official watch for the annual Formula One Monaco Grand Prix, but the designer’s latest appointment further cements its longstanding relationship with the Principality’s iconic racing events.

Both races are considered one of the biggest events of the superyacht calendar, drawing yachts from around the world hoping to secure a coveted trackside berth.

As the coronavirus pandemic forced the 2020 event to be cancelled, TAG Heuer has instead marked what would have been the event’s date (May 8-10) by producing a limited edition timepiece sure to delight racing enthusiasts missing out on the auto action.

The new model celebrates TAG Heuer's appointment as timekeeper for the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique.

TAG Heuer is typically known for its futuristic smartwatches but this timepiece is a classic chronograph designed to be one of the best automotive racing watches.

The stunning model sports the red and white colouring reminiscent of racing cars as well as the logo of the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique. For a chance to own one of just 1,000 models made, make sure to sign up via the pre-order link below, before the watch is released on July 27.
