The 56.4-metre flybridge sailing yacht Salvaje has been sold. Jamie Small of Burgess and Alex Busher and Antonio de Yturbe Redo of Edmiston represented the seller in the deal, while Jean-Marie Recamier and Jessica Ruez of Camper & Nicholsons introduced the buyer.
Delivered in 2014 as Mondango 3, the aluminium ketch is one of the largest builds from New Zealand-based Alloy Yachts, with her elongated, slender profile and naval architecture the work of Dubois Naval Architects.
The sailing yacht has been meticulously maintained since launch, benefitting from a significant 2019 refit with works including a hull repaint, a new set of 3Di sails and an overhaul of the engines and rigging. She also completed her Lloyd's 10-year class survey in 2024.
A flexible interior configuration by British studio Reymond Langton can sleep up to 11 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam master suite amidships, two doubles and two twins with an additional Pullman berth. Meanwhile, crew quarters are forward and can sleep a staff of 10.
Highlights on board the 499GT sailing yacht include a lifting keel which allows for cruising in shallow waters, an aft deck spa pool, a climate-controlled cockpit protected by sliding glass side screens and curved glass doors and a swimming platform that unfolds from the starboard topsides. The yacht’s two large tenders can be stowed below a hatch on the foredeck.
On the main deck, a floor-to-ceiling carved leather 'wall' with glass inserts houses an integrated television screen, dividing the lounge area from the dining room. Above is a 60-square-metre flybridge with a spread of sunpads that wrap around the mast and a large seating area for al fresco dining.
On the technical side, Salvaje has a Southern Spars carbon mast and boom with sails by North Sails, bow and stern TRAC thrusters, twin Northern Lights generators and a HEM water maker.
loading...She is powered by a single 1,450hp Caterpillar C-32 engine providing a top speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 6,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. Under sail, she easily exceeds 16 knots in optimum weather conditions.
Salvaje was last asking €29,500,000.
