Major €14M price drop on custom 78m Amels superyacht Energy

The custom 77.8-metre Amels superyacht Energy has received a major €14,000,000 price reduction to her sales listing with joint central agents, Alex Krykanyuk and Josh Gulbranson of Fraser and Peter Brown of Burgess. 

According to BOATPro, she has been on the market since April this year and used only privately. She will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show next week, as the second most expensive yacht in attendance.

Energy was delivered in 2022 by the Dutch yard, constructed in steel and aluminium to a design by Espen Øino and François Zuretti – who first worked together on the design of the 74.5-metre Eco, now Zeus – with naval architecture by Damen/Amels.

The design brief given to interior designer Øino and exterior designer Zuretti (who won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards) was to "defy convention and find ways to connect with the ocean". The end result certainly achieves that with distinction.

Energy offers accommodation on board for an owner's party of 14 in seven cabins, the highlight of which is a spacious owner's suite with a private terrace and a Jacuzzi. 

In addition to the owner's suite, which is located on the upper deck, there are two VIP cabins on the main deck (both with balconies) and four double guest cabins on the lower deck, connected via a glass lift. Meanwhile, further quarters are provided for a crew of 27.

The once flagship of Amels (now the 120-metre Project Tanzanite), Energy is host to a plethora of amenities. A dedicated martial arts room is located on the main deck, near a boardroom-style office and an intimate "waterfall lounge".

Closer to the water (on the lower deck) is a sea-level gym, a beauty salon, a sauna, a Hammam and a beach club with bar and fold-out terrace – reached by step-free access from the lower deck cabins.

Living spaces are extensive onboard thanks to a 2,884GT interior volume. The bridge deck is host to a dedicated music lounge, designed for acoustic excellence, with a Steinway baby grand piano and marble-topped bar, while the upper deck, with the owner's private saloon, also hosts a 16-person dining table aft for on-deck dining and "one of the largest pools on any yacht, anywhere".

The top deck's helipad doubles as a sun lounge, a yoga studio with ocean views, or a vast space on which to entertain, having a large "statement bar" under cover. To aft, there is a circular Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads.

The Lloyds Register-classed yacht for sale is powered by twin 2,240kW engines giving her a top speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 13.5 knots and a 5,000 nautical mile range at 13 knots.

Lying in Sanremo, Italy, Energy is now asking €185,000,000.
