The 24.5-metre sailing yacht Fantasea Blue has been sold and renamed Kyalami. Daniele Botticini and Marica Lippa of Wind Yachts represented the seller, while Danimar Yachts Italy introduced the buyer.
Kyalami was constructed in carbon to Lloyds classification by Spanish shipyard Barcos Deportivos. She was delivered in 2005 as a true bluewater cruiser, with a powerful sail plan and light hull thanks to an exterior design and naval architecture from renowned yacht designer German Frers.
According to her brokers, Kyalami was designed for "easy, single-handed sailing" and features full automation, including an in-boom furling mainsail, a captive winch and a hydraulically operated self-tacking jib.
Kyalami’s main saloon is divided into two key areas with a lounge and coffee table to starboard and a formal dining space to port. Natural light floods the space thanks to windows that wrap around the coachroof, while a fully equipped galley and captain’s desk also feature.
Accommodation on board is for up to seven guests in three en suite cabins (one with an additional Pullman berth), with a spacious master suite located forward in the bow.
Moving outside, the cockpit provides an al fresco dining area with a teak table, while to aft there is a vast area to sunbathe, with a four-metre tender stored on the foredeck. Areas of crew activity (for two crew) are separated from the guest relaxation space for maximum privacy.
Key specs include a beam of six metres and a maximum four-metre draft. When cruising under power alone, a single Cummins engine provides a top speed of 12 knots and a cruising speed of nine knots.
Kyalami was last asking €1,050,000. Special thanks were given to Simonè Saccon of Wind Service for facilitating the transaction.
