The 36.9 metre Benetti motor yacht African Queen, listed for sale by Ed Dickinson and Sean Doyle of Northrop & Johnson, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Simon Goldsworthy of Edmiston.
African Queen was constructed in GRP by Italian yard Benetti and delivered in 2009 with an extensive refit and technical overhaul in 2019. Her Francois Zuretti interiors sleep up to 11 guests in five staterooms, comprising a full-beam master cabin, two VIP suites and two twin cabins, one with a Pullman berth.
Situated on the main deck, the owner’s cabin features a king-size berth, a walk-in wardrobe, a private study and a lavish bath. The four additional staterooms are located on the lower deck, with crew quarters allowing for a team of seven.
Her warm interior is characterised by palatial pillars and contemporary décor in a neutral palette. The main saloon boasts a large sofa and two armchairs flanking a bespoke table, with a dining area for up to 12 guests found forward alongside a galley outfitted with the latest applications.
Her aft deck features al fresco dining through a plush sofa and additional seating overlooking her stern garage. Elsewhere, her split layout sundeck offers sun loungers forward and a sheltered area aft with sunpads underneath a Bimini top.
Powered by twin MTU diesel engines, the yacht has a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots.
African Queen was asking €6,800,000.
