The 25.91 metre motor yacht Checkers has been listed for sale by Eric Sass at Galati Yacht Sales.
Built in aluminium by US yard Burger Boat Company, to a design by Don O’Keefe, Checkers was delivered in 2001 and refitted in 2011 with constant modifications and upgrades along the way. Accommodation is for eight guests in four generously proportioned cabins consisting of a full beam master suite, a VIP suite, a double and a twin cabin, all with new Samsung television screens and en suite bathroom facilities.
The open plan saloon is decorated in neutral shades of grey accompanied by paneling and joinery in warm African cherry wood. A large settee dominates the starboard side of the lounge area, facing a bar and entertainment centre while forward is a formal dining area for eight guests. Large windows allow natural daylight to pour into this area.
The aft deck has built in upholstered bench seating, a table and four chairs, easily lending itself to al fresco entertaining and dining and there are full walk around decks. The flybridge is accessed by a stairway on the starboard side of the pilothouse and has a centerline Stidd helm chair facing the instrumentation panel. To port is a built in bench seat while aft of the helm area is a pair of matching L-shaped bench seats to port and starboard, a Kenyon grill, fridge, ice maker and sink. Between the bench seats is the entrance to the boat deck area with sun pads protected by a large custom shade.
Twin 1,300hp Caterpillar engines give her a cruising speed of 17 knots and a range of 1,600 nautical miles.
