Claasen sailing yacht Atalante sold
by Malcolm MacLean
The 27.5 metre sailing yacht Atalante has been sold with Pieter van der Weide at Hoek Brokerage acting for the buyer and seller.
Built in aluminium by Dutch yard Claasen Jachtbouw with exterior and interior design by Andre Hoek, Atalante was delivered in 2009 as the second in the yard's famed Truly Classic series. MCA compliant, she accommodates eight guests in a master suite, a double stateroom and two twin cabins, all with en suite facilities.
A classically styled interior features mahogany joinery with raised and fielded panels. The saloon has a comfortable seating area with a coffee table and a full entertainment system, while the forward deckhouse consists of a second socialising area with a dining table and navigation station. Two separate cockpits complete the living quarters – one aft for sailing and one amidships for al fresco dining and relaxation. Powered by a 250hp Lugger engine, she has a cruising speed of eight knots and can get to a top speed of nine knots.
Atalante was asking €3.6 million.
