Berenice

Listed with an asking price of £295,000 (incl VAT), 28.6 metre Berenice has been sold by central agents, Berthon in Lymington, Hampshire. “She’s going to the South of France and will undertake limited charter work,” explains Sue Grant at Berthon. “At the moment she’s making a pitstop in Malta.”

Built at the Samuel White yard in Cowes, Berenice was launched in 1923 and raced successfully in the Solent. By 2001, the yacht – then named Mero? – had fallen into disrepair, but an extensive refit and restoration completed the following year returned the classic sailing yacht to prime condition.
