Built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Feadship to a design by De Voogt, Mary A was delivered in 2001 with comprehensive refits in 2005, 2013 and 2021. A John Munford interior accommodates up to 14 guests in five cabins. These comprise a full beam master suite on the main deck, two doubles and two twins plus four Pullman berths. All guest cabins have entertainment centres, television screens and en suite bathroom facilities while the crew quarters sleep up to 10 staff.
A formal dining room on the main deck seats 10 guests comfortably and a display case separates this space from the intimate lounge aft, with excellent natural light and fine views. Sliding doors lead out onto the main deck aft where her tenders are stowed underway, and the space has further potential for relaxing and entertainment once at anchor. Steps lead down to an extended swim platform.
On the sun deck, a large Jacuzzi is surrounded by sun pads, with wraparound glass screens to shelter guests from breezes. A sit-up bar is fully equipped, there is a versatile area aft for gym equipment, yoga, entertaining or simply lounging and she has two areas of lounge seating aft. Twin 1,014hp Caterpillar engines give the yacht a top speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots while a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles gives her transatlantic capability. Zero speed stabilisers ensure comfort and safety.
Mary A was asking $19,500,000.
