Owner needed: The most expensive superyacht projects for sale

15 July 2026 • Written by Dea Jusufi and Emily Dawkins

Superyachts of a certain calibre (and price tag) typically need a commissioning owner. But this is not always the case. There are many incredible yacht projects currently under construction – boasting helipads, glass-bottomed pools and designs from the industry's most esteemed studios – that can be available to a buyer in as little as one to two years.

BOAT takes a closer look at the most expensive projects on the market due for delivery in 2027 and beyond...

The most expensive superyacht project on the market is the 79.5-metre Silver Edge. An evolution of the iconic 77-metre Silver Fast, delivered in 2015, Silver Edge marks another collaboration between veteran designer Espen Øino and SilverYachts, a shipyard based in Western Australia. Silver Edge borrows design cues from fast patrol vessels, including an elongated bow that doubles as a helipad and an angular enclosed helm station.

The project promises several exciting features for her future owner, from her glass-bottom pool and sundeck Jacuzzi to her three VIP cabins and master suite (the latter measuring an impressive 95 square metres). The build is awaiting an owner to put the "finishing touches" on the interiors.

Up next on the list is the 62-metre Nacre 62, which is currently under construction at Sarp Yachts in Turkey. She is ready and waiting for a full-custom fit-out, according to her brokers, and can be wholly personalised to a client's personal style and tastes. Italian studio Hot Lab is behind the design of the steel and aluminium build, with Dutch firm Van Oossanen Naval Architecture developing her naval architecture.

Amenities on board include a beach club, bar, two pools and a large sundeck. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests across six cabins, including a large main suite with office and his and her walk-in wardrobe, with further space for 13 crew. Nacre 62 currently stands as the largest yacht under development at the shipyard.

Construction is currently underway on Rossinavi's 47-metre Berserk in Viareggio, Italy. The project has been developed to combine all of the features of an oceangoing explorer yacht, combining transatlantic range with sturdy engineering and a steel and aluminium composition. The Touch Studio is behind her design, opting for a bright and contemporary interior to offset her rugged and demanding explorer profile.

In terms of leisure, Berserk offers expansive exterior decks with a sundeck pool, generous lounge areas and family-friendly amenities such as a beach club with a gym. The aft deck is capable of carrying a tender of up to 5,000kg, with further dedicated storage for two Jet Skis forward. Accommodation is for 10 guests.

Berserk is asking €39,500,000 with Christie Yachts and Italian Yacht Group.

Hull two of Mengi Yay's NL 52 Plus is another in-build project currently on the search for an owner. The 52.4-metre yacht is the second in the new series, which has been penned throughout by Italian designer Nuvolari Lenard with an efficient displacement hull developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects. The model's main focus is on open-air living, with an emphasis on redefining the experience on board through decks that offer elegance, comfort and a strong connection to the water.

499GT of interior volume showcases amenities and spaces associated with a considerably larger yacht, including accommodation for up to 10 guests, an expansive beach club with a custom pool and fold-down platforms and a dedicated wellness deck with a private sauna and gym. Early in her build, her interior offers considerable scope for an owner to personalise the layout, materials and finishes.
