The 50 most expensive yachts for sale now

How much does a superyacht cost? The answer is not so simple. Much like a luxury watch or car, the asking price depends on a variety of factors such as age, pedigree and finish, with the largest and newest vessels peaking into the hundreds of millions. To give you a better idea, BOAT International rounds up the 50 most expensive yachts currently listed for sale, starting with the 105.3-metre H3...

Marguerite

Asking $39,900,000 with Moran Yacht & Ship

Builder: Lürssen
Length: 60.7m
Designer: Winch Design, Espen Øino International

Marguerite was built under the supervision of the Moran new construction team, with a design brief that requested a private owner’s area, professional dive centre, hefty tender storage and the ability to cruise for thirty days at a time. The owner's cabin is a particular highlight, spanning two decks and designed with an observation lounge, access to a private foredeck and a floating staircase that leads to an upper deck study. The yacht benefitted from a full interior refit after a change in ownership at the end of 2021.

Elsewhere, the sundeck sports a Jacuzzi, full bar and completely sheltered dining for 12. The bridge deck offers indoor-outdoor formal dining at a large circular table for 12, thanks to semi-circular glass sliding doors.

Ela

Asking €39,000,000 with Edmiston and Ocean Independence

Builder: Heesen
Length: 50m
Designers: Omega Architects, Van Oossanen Naval Architects, Cristiano Gatto Design

Ela was delivered in 2021 as a Nova Plus model and benefits from a Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, "arguably the most efficient hull in her class". She stands out from sisterships Home, Erica and Amare II thanks to her mullions. Fitted with Warm Canaletto walnut, topped with downward-facing spotlights for nighttime illumination and backed by mirrors that touch the glass, the mullions amplify and multiply all ocean views. Other highlights include a coffee table with colour-changing onyx, a sundeck with a Jacuzzi and full-service bar, and a tender bay that can convert into an outdoor cinema.

Neenah

Asking $38,995,000 with Miles Yacht Group

Builder: Westport
Length: 50m
Designers: Donald Starkey, William Garden, Taylor Olson

Delivered in 2020, Neenah was built on spec but sold shortly after delivery, marking one of the most expensive superyacht sales of the year. Accommodation is across six cabins, including a full-beam owner's cabin with an office, lounge area and bathroom with freestanding bathtub. Up top, the sundeck features a sit-up bar, a Jacuzzi and low, freestanding seating for evening cocktails. An elevator serves all decks.

Aelia

Asking €38,500,000 with IYC

Builder: Benetti
Length: 55.9m
Designers: Central Yacht

Aelia was delivered nearly a decade ago, but a €4,000,000 interior refit – completed this year to designs by Studio Vafiadis – has left her as good as new. The yacht has accommodation for a party of 12 guests across eight cabins, including two master suites on the upper deck. Leisure highlights include a massage room, a gym and a cinema, though the exterior deck spaces are also worth noting. In particular, the top deck features a glass-backed Jacuzzi pool where guests can watch the wake disappear at 17 knots. According to the broker, Aelia also has an "impeccable charter record".

Calypso

Asking €35,900,000 with Y.CO

Builder: Amels
Length: 61.5m
Designers: Michael Leach Design

Calypso stands out thanks to her voluminous, "lavish" interiors, including a spectacular two-level master suite at main deck level. Stretching to the yacht's full beam, this suite is described as a "sanctuary" and sports an overhead skylight. Leach rarely holds back on ceiling heights and Calypso's is 4.2 metres high here. Meanwhile, the sundeck is split into three sections: a lounge seating and Jacuzzi area; an enclosed, air-conditioned gym; an open space designed for sunbathing or al fresco workouts, which also has an outdoor cinema set-up.
