34m Mulder motor yacht Solis for sale for the first time

6 January 2023 • Written by Nick Jeffery

The 34 metre motor yacht Solis has been listed for sale for the first time since its launch with Roy Posthuma and Sam Tucker of Moravia Yachting.

Custom built in steel and aluminium by Mulder Shipyard in the Netherlands, Solis was designed throughout by British studio Claydon Reeves and delivered in 2015.

Solis is asking €13,900,000

Solis picked up the Neptune for Best Displacement Motor Yacht at the World Superyacht Awards in 2016 and was a finalist in three categories of the Showboats Design Awards. Her elegant cream hull with a near-vertical bow and cleverly-proportioned superstructure contain everything one would need for comfortable family cruising.

Drawing inspiration from nature and the sun, as her name suggests, Claydon Reeves conjured up the concept for a unique yacht that incorporated contemporary yet classic styling.

Entering Solis' main saloon, a relaxing honey-toned palette is complemented by oak panelling. Natural stones and soothing blue accents are used to reflect the surrounding seascapes and imitate the hues of the sea and sand.

The saloon is inviting and calm with ample seating. Passing the bar to port, one reaches the formal 10-seater dining area. Full height opening glass doors entice guests out onto the fold-out balcony to starboard, making for a true indoor-outdoor experience, in touch with the natural surroundings.

Solis effectively has two master suites. One, referred to as the VIP, is located forward on the main deck, featuring a large skylight directly above the bed allowing daylight to flood in or views of the night sky. Moving down to the lower deck, the cool aqua vibe continues. A stunning bronze and resin mural, representing a vibrant school of fish, lines the corridor. The second master suite stretches the full beam of the yacht and benefits from large portholes. There are two further double guest cabins that can be converted into twins plus dedicated quarters for a complement of six crew.

The sun deck has a sheltered seating and dining area, a barbeque and bar area, plus a running machine concealed under the teak deck. A Jacuzzi is located aft with a built-in step that can convert into another bar. Similarly versatile, the aft main deck has a dining table and sofas that can all be converted into one large sun lounger, creating a split-level beach club area allowing for direct access to the sea via Solis' wide transom staircase.

Solis' economical twin Caterpillar engines power her to a top speed of 13 knots, with a transatlantic range. Naval architecture is by Van Oossanen. At rest, zero speed stabilisers keep her steady. Immaculately maintained by one family owner since new, this 315GT yacht for sale is also suitable for Mediterranean or Caribbean charter.

Lying in Barcelona, Solis is asking €13,900,000.
