When I first spoke to Ron Rickard at Ardell on March 11th 2009 about his central listing, the 40m expedition motor yacht Garfield, Ron warned that the owner had set his sights too high with an asking price of $14,495,000 and so it's proved, with a series of reductions over the past 18 months or so.

Built in 2004 by Turkey’s Dearsan Yachts, she has a commercial quality steel hull and aluminium superstructure giving her great strength and the ability to cruise in any of the world’s oceans. The master and VIP cabins are on the main deck with three further double cabins. Unusually, she carries an 8.8m sportsfisherman with tower aboard. This latest $1 million drop brings her asking price down to just $5.95 million.
