Swan sailing yacht Virago for sale
by Malcolm Maclean
The 30.21 metre sailing yacht Virago has been listed for sale by Jeremy Peek at Nautor’s Swan Brokerage.
Designed by German Frers, Virago was built in GRP by Finnish yard Nautor’s Swan to Bureau Veritas class and delivered in 2006 as a Swan 100S model and has been carefully maintained by the original owner ever since. Her spacious interior, in hand-rubbed satin-finished teak, can accommodate up to eight guests in four cabins comprising a master suite, double and two twins, all with entertainment centres and en suite shower facilities. Three hull windows on either side, in the saloon, aft cabins and master suite, ensure a bright interior. There are also quarters for four crew aboard this yacht for sale.
The main saloon offers a dining table for eight guests plus a comfortable sofa with a coffee table. On deck, the main cockpit area is situated amidships and has convertible dining tables and sofas on either side. The aft cockpit is for navigation and sail control with twin helm positions.
On the technical side, she has been fitted with an Offshore Spars carbon fibre mast and Park Avenue boom and in recent months, a new set of ECsix standing rigging was fitted. Under power, a 265hp Perkins Sabre diesel engine gives her a cruising speed of nine knots.
Currently in Antigua, Virago is asking €5,250,000.
