30 Seconds on Board: The World’s Coolest Yacht Videos

Our 30 Seconds On Board video series dives into the world’s coolest superyachts for a whistle-stop tour of their interiors, revealing hidden secrets and star features…

Vida

Delivered last year, the 55 metre Full displacement Heesen superyacht Vida features naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects and exterior styling by Omega Architects. Interior styling meanwhile has been penned by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini, with Be Design Associates from Florida. The interior is decorated in natural materials along with a soft and warm colour palette and has accommodation for a total of 12 guests on the lower deck. Vida now acts as mothership to the owner’s fleet of sportfish yachts, carrying extra fuel for the smaller vessels.

Here Comes the Sun

Recently sold, this 83 metre Amels superyacht Here Comes the Sun was delivered in 2017 as the first in the yard’s Limited Editions 272 series. Key features include an Andrew Winch-designed interior, on-board cinema and cavernous 2,827 gross tonne interior. BOAT stepped on board during the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Solo

Delivered last year, Tankoa's 72 metre superyacht Solo debuted at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show. Designed by Francesco Paszkowski, with interior design by Margherita Casprini, Solo's key features include a glass-walled gym, spacious skylounge/ piano bar and fold out terrace balconies to bring the outside in. Accommodation is for 12 guests split across six cabins, including an owner's deck, VIP suite and four doubles.

Itasca

The famed 53.6 metre explorer yacht Itasca was originally built in 1961 by Dutch yard J&K Smit as one of four oceangoing salvage tugs, of which it is the only survivor. After being converted into a superyacht in 1973, Itasca has circumnavigated the world three times. Accommodation on board is for a total of 10 guests in five cabins. The yacht also features a helicopter pad, complete with a refuelling system.

White Rabbit

Echo Yachts' 84 metre White Rabbit took the mantle as the world's largest trimaran as soon as it was delivered in November last year. Designed by Sam Sorgiovanni, with One2Three developing the naval architecture, White Rabbit has huge interior volumes and can accommodate up to 12 guests.

Gene Machine

Owned by American chemical engineer and biologist Dr Jonathan Rothberg, it isn’t hard to understand where Gene Machine got her name. Key on board features include a Finding Nemo-themed beach club and a laboratory, which Rothberg installed for his daughter’s use. A model from Amels’s successful Limited Editions 180 series, Gene Machine features exterior design by Tim Heywood and interior design by Enzo Ensea. Accommodation on board is for a total of 14 guests and 16 crew.

Abbracci

Launched in 2012, Abbracci (ex-Serenity) was the largest displacement yacht launched by Heesen at the time. She features exterior design by Omega Architects and naval architecture by Heesen's in-house team in collaboration with Van Oossanen & Associates. Accommodation is for a total of 12 guests comprising a full-beam main deck master, full-beam VIP cabin, two double and two twins on the lower deck. Key features include an enclosed spa area complete with a steam bath, sauna and massage room.

Okto

We hoped on board this 66.4 motor yacht at the Superyacht Show in Barcelona. She was delivered by Italy’s ISA yard in 2014 and built to Northern European specifications and standards. Special features include a touch and go helipad, six metre swimming pool, guest elevator, owners’ balcony and four tender garages.

Adastra

When looking at her dramatic lines and futuristic trimaran form, it is easy to forget that Adastra was launched six years ago by McConaghy Boats. We stepped on board at the Antigua Charter Show to see what delights she has in store.

Sugaray

Part of the successful OA 112 series, Sugaray was launched in 2017 by Ocean Alexander. Featuring the stylistic flair of Evan K. Marshall, her bright, open interiors are flooded with natural light and she can sleep up to ten guests on board. This semi-custom masterpiece certainly has plenty to excite visitors at the 2018 Miami Yacht Show.
