Amels superyacht Event to premiere at Monaco Yacht Show

The avant-garde Amels 60-metre motor yacht Event will make her world premier at the Monaco Yacht Show this September.

The yacht will be on display in cooperation with Imperial Yachts who are responsible for the charter management. Designed by Tim Heywood, she is characterised by her scimitar bow. It gives a longer waterline to the yacht, similar to one of a conventional 65m motor yacht, and it reduces the fuel consumption. Event has a top speed of 16.5 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 13 knots.

The interior, designed by Laura Sessa, accommodates 12 guests in six cabins: the full-beam master suite is on the main deck, two VIPs are on the bridge deck, and a double and two twins are on the lower deck.

Amels managing director Rob Luijendijk says: 'Event is a benchmark in superyacht exterior design. She will definitely turn many heads, even in Monaco where there is so much competition for attention.'
