Turkish builder Dearsan Shipyard has launched its 50.2-metre new build superyacht, Queen Yaz.
The steel and aluminium project was first announced in January last year, when her hull and superstructure were already completed. According to BOATPro, construction began in 2024.
Red Yacht Design, a studio based in Istanbul and London, is responsible for her striking, dark exterior and "modern, cosy" interiors. Queen Yaz is tailored for "outdoor living enthusiasts", meaning the sundeck is configured as the main social space with a Jacuzzi, sunbeds, lounge sofas, bar and dining area.
Another major "hub" is the swim platform, arranged with a long, U-shaped sofa, sun loungers and unfolding bulwarks that can accommodate additional seating. Two more intimate lounge spaces can be found on the bow and the main deck aft.
"At Dearsan Shipyard, we take immense pride in building yachts that embody innovation and artistry," Dearsan Shipyard CEO, Murat Gordi, commented at the project's unveiling last year. "Queen Yaz is a testament to our team’s passion and expertise, and we are delighted to collaborate with Red Yacht Design & Milimetriq to bring this exceptional yacht to life."

“Designing Queen Yaz has been an incredible journey. We aimed to create a yacht that embodies sophistication while providing ultimate comfort for her guests," Fatih Sürekli, managing director of Red Yacht Design, previously added. "The collaboration with Dearsan Shipyard and Milimetriq has been seamless, ensuring every detail aligns with our vision."
Once delivered, Queen Yaz will become the flagship of the Turkish shipyard's fleet.
Red Yacht Design recently celebrated the launch of the 40.8-metre custom superyacht Aisha, which hit the water at the Anadolu Shipyard in Turkey.
