Dutch builder Mulder Shipyard has announced the sale of the first unit from its new Mulder 122 superyacht series. Construction is already underway at the yard's Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk facilities, with delivery expected in summer 2027.
The deal was completed in collaboration with Ken Bracewell of BR Marine Group, who introduced the buyer - an experienced American owner.
The latest addition to the shipyard's portfolio, the Mulder 122 stands as an evolution of the yard's existing ThirtySix series with an extended LOA, larger exterior living spaces and "carefully reconsidered details" to enhance life on board, including updated glazing towards the bow.
The in-house exterior will be built upon Van Oossanen's Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), while the interiors for hull one were commissioned to Italian studio FM Architettura, which will work alongside the owner to create a highly personalised design "from the layout to the finest finishing touches".
Model highlights of the new Mulder 122 include an extended swim platform with twin stairways from a spacious aft deck lounge, a larger foredeck with an intimate seating area and wide side decks for easy access throughout. Accommodation is for up to 12 across four guest cabins and a main-deck master suite, with further quarters for a crew of six.
Key specs include an eight-metre beam and a 2.1-metre draught. Twin 1,150hp Caterpillar C18 engines will deliver a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.
According to BOATPro, the yard has delivered nine units from the Mulder ThirtySix series to date. In August, the yard announced the redelivery of the first unit from the series, Delta One, following an extensive refit at its facilities. The shipyard now has one superyacht under construction.
