50m Amer 499 Spacesplorer superyacht moves to outfitting

26 October 2026 • Written by Emily Dawkins

Italian shipyard Amer Yachts has announced that the 49.5-metre Amer 499 Spacesplorer yacht, hull 499S/11, has been moved to its facilities in Pisa for outfitting.

This marks the first time the yacht has been seen since construction began in January 2025, according to BOATPro. The steel and aluminium build is the result of a collaboration with exterior designer Antonio Luxardo and engineering studio Optima Design, and has been developed to "experience the sea from an entirely new perspective".

The yacht features signature elements from Amer's Steel range, including a vertical bow, an elongated hull and a superstructure defined by an inverted glass wheelhouse for a bold, sporty and highly contemporary profile.

Key to the design are expansive open terraces and an owner's suite – spanning the yacht's full eight-metre beam with walk-in wardrobes, en-suites and a private 75-square-metre terrace – on a dedicated deck.

The yacht's layout is centred around a broad open stern with a large swimming pool, sunpads and steps leading up to a sheltered lounge and dining area. Heading inside, the main saloon, which spans 140 square metres, is home to a forward formal dining area with a fold-down side balcony that transforms one of the bulwarks into an eight-square-metre "sea terrace".

Though yet to be revealed, living spaces designed by Manuel Thollot of Studio L’Apostrophe are said to be bright and filled with natural light. Accommodation for up to 10 also follows suit, with the four lower-deck guest cabins benefitting from large hull windows. Further quarters accommodate a crew of nine.

On the foredeck, guests can enjoy a wide sunbathing space with extensive views over the bow, while the sundeck above – said to be comparable in size to that of significantly larger yachts – offers a forward-facing jacuzzi, a fully equipped bar, a secondary al fresco dining area and a sunbathing lounge.

Other technical specifications of the new build remain private. Delivery is expected in summer 2027.

Exclusive BOATPro data reveals the shipyard has six yachts currently under construction, including its flagship Amer 74 Steel and an Amer 499, which was sighted for the first time in February.
