Boatbuilder Arcadia Yachts has launched its latest Sherpa 80 XL motor yacht which splashed in Italy last week.
The 24 metre Sherpa 80 XL is positioned as an eco-friendly pocket superyacht and is an evolution of the original 18 metre Sherpa model, retaining its high, snub bow and boxy bridge deck. This particular unit features a new design layout and is the first to sport a winter garden option thats enables the stern deck area to be closed off. The space can be heated in cooler climates or if the weather turns.
The owner also opted for a five-cabin-layout, a deviation from the standard three or four cabins, and a reconfiguration of the guest spaces. The galley, for example, opens onto the sky lounge to create a convivial and open-plan space for entertaining.
The exterior design is by HOTLAB, while the interior design is signed by Buratti Architetti, an Italian studio suggested by the owner.
Meanwhile, the naval architecture is by Arcadia and the yacht features Arcadia's trademark solar panels which provide up to 3kW of clean electricity - that's enough to run the hotel load without firing up the generator.
The Sherpa 80 XL is powered by a pair of Volvo Penta 1350hp IPS engines that deliver a range of over 1,200 nautical miles at 10 knots. At full throttle she can reach speeds of approximately 23 knots.
The yacht is one of nine new Arcadia Yachts units slated for production and delivery by the end of 2022.
