Baglietto has launched the first hull of its new flagship T60 series, now the largest vessel built by the Italian shipyard.
The 60-metre yacht hit the water at Baglietto's La Spezia facility, during a special ceremony attended by the owner, his family, the Mayor of La Spezia, along with numerous children from local primary and middle schools.. This first unit was designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, who also developed the interiors in collaboration with Margherita Casprini.
The T60 marks the natural evolution of the successful T52, reimagined with soft, flowing lines and visually lightened side structures, which merge seamlessly with the external overhang. A signature black glass band, integrating the portholes and now a defining motif of Baglietto’s latest creations, accentuates the yacht’s streamlined profile.
Central to the design is a radical rethinking of onboard living, with a layout conceived to dissolve the traditional boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. Fully retractable, full-height glazing across the main salon and upper deck allows the interiors to maintain an unbroken connection to the water.
The first T60 also introduces a particularly original configuration, with the entire upper deck reserved exclusively for the owner and conceived as a fully walkable private domain. The owner’s suite is reached via a central lobby served by a glass elevator and features a private office, walk-in wardrobe and a spacious bathroom with separate facilities. Aft, a relaxed lounge flows seamlessly onto the outdoor dining area through fully retractable glass walls, while a Jacuzzi and expansive sunpads complete this highly exclusive deck.
The remaining guest accommodation includes two VIP and two guest cabins located on the main deck, with a fifth guest cabin situated on the lower deck. Further accommodation sleeps a crew of 13.
The beach area, main salon and dining room are conceived as a single living environment. Guests can enjoy a 60-square-metre beach lounge featuring a pool, bar, gym and generous social areas, which flows into the main saloon via a striking open staircase. The result is a dramatic two-level space approaching 100 square metres, further enhanced by a dining area enclosed by fully opening glass walls.
Diego Michele Deprati, CEO of Baglietto said, “This launch represents an extraordinary milestone for our shipyard and for all the people who work every day with passion to support Baglietto’s growth. A launch is always a moment of great emotion because it crowns years of work and marks the realisation of a dream - the owner’s dream, which becomes our own. Today, the emotion is also fuelled by the awareness of having written another milestone in the history of this glorious shipyard."
The CEO continued: A special thought goes to the many young people who attended the ceremony. It is to them that we must look when we speak about the future of yachting: to their ideas, their curiosity and their ability to imagine the sea as a place of work, innovation and beauty. Our task is not only to build ever more ambitious yachts, but also to create opportunities and skills for the new generations who will carry this tradition forward.”
The T60 is powered by twin CAT 3512 engines to deliver a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, combining performance with refined onboard comfort.
The news follows a string of activity from the Italian shipyard, with two more orders signed for the T60, two for the T54 and four signed for the DOM 133, according to BOATPro.
