Italian yard Benetti has built upon its new B.Loft yacht range with a new 58-metre model. The range was first introduced at last year's Monaco Yacht Show with the B.Loft 65M, which promised to "revolutionise" the onboard experience with lofty four-metre high ceilings inspired by the "airy layouts" of metropolitan residential spaces.
The B.Loft 58M retains several of the 65M's distinctive features, yet in a more compact package. This includes the signature "cabana": a shaded area that can be open or closed on the water's edge for a different take on the classic beach club. The side wings open out to create a 120-square-metre bathing platform that is 15.5 metres wide.
Another major feature is the panoramic skylounge, which extends over 70 square metres and has a ceiling height of 3.5 metres. The glass side walls offer unobstructed views, while a large sliding door opens onto an outdoor area with sea views.
Both exterior and interior design are by Italian designer Giorgio M. Cassetta. "We wanted B.Loft to be a place where you feel wonderfully at ease wherever you are on board: a space that’s both familiar and surprising," Cassetta explained. "We were inspired by the modern architecture of waterfront villas, particularly in Central America, with terraces on multiple levels that are always perfectly interconnected, where everyone feels part of the same environment."
This has been a very busy boat show season for Benetti, who also developed its popular Oasis line with a new flagship model. The Oasis 42M is a "natural evolution" of the previous flagship, the Oasis 40M, with the first unit already sold and scheduled for launch in 2027.
