Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts has announced the sale of a 61-metre full custom superyacht project. The new build has been sold to an American client and is slated for delivery in February 2029.
Details on the project remain sparse at this stage, although Tankoa teased that both the interior and exterior design of the vessel have been developed by external designers working in close collaboration with the owner and Tankoa Centro Stile.
With designs expected to be unveiled soon, the yard hinted that the yacht is characterised by "meticulous attention to detail and a clever use of functional space", with the project standing as a "fully custom, one-off creation".
"We worked closely with the clients for several months, initially focusing on one of our existing projects before moving on to a full custom design," said Tankoa Yachts' sales and business development manager, Claudio Corvino. "The synergy was immediate, and the clients’ extensive experience made the process smooth and enjoyable for all involved, resulting in a project which has been meticulously planned down to the smallest detail."
According to BOATPro, Tankoa currently has nine superyachts on order or under construction. The yard recently celebrated the launch of the second yacht in its T450 series, Singolare, designed by Italian studio Giorgio M. Cassetta.
