Videoworks, the superyacht sector’s leading specialist in advanced AV/IT, entertainment and automation systems, has unveiled a suite of next-generation technologies at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, highlighting how generative AI can open up a world of new design possibilities by creating bespoke video for LED walls that are increasingly common on large yachts.

The session featured insights from Professor Tiberio Uricchio of the University of Pisa, an authority on generative AI, and broadcast expert Eduardo Scognamiglio, who talked through just a few of the technology’s creative potential and tools, ranging from creating your own movies to turning your favourite music into bespoke audio-visual journeys that can be displayed on a 4K LED megascreen with immersive sound.

“Within seconds, the system crafts a unique video and audio collection shaped by personal tastes and personality,” said Videoworks CEO, Maurizio Minossi. “It demonstrates how AI can make entertainment not just interactive, but truly private.”

Videoworks also showcased its services in intelligent connectivity and integrated security at the show. Recognising uninterrupted connectivity as an essential for modern yachting, they presented a multi-network architecture that seamlessly integrates Starlink, OneWeb, future Amazon satellites and 5G. This approach enables yachts to move away from conventional satellite domes, offering owners and guests round-the-clock internet access with a cleaner, more integrated design.

Onboard security as a fully integrated service rather than a standalone add-on was another theme. The intuitive system employs LiDAR sensors, smart cameras and innovative floor sensors capable of recognising footsteps and movement patterns. All elements are controlled via a single software interface, allowing discreet yet comprehensive protection that can be tailored to each yacht’s layout and owner’s needs.

"At Videoworks, we see technology not as an add-on, but as an integral part of yacht design and onboard life," concluded Minossi. “From AV-IT to advanced security or generative AI, our mission is to create systems that are easy to use and make guests more comfortable, while keeping everyone on board connected and secure."
