Turkish builder Bilgin Yachts has announced the sale of the second hull from its 53-metre superyacht platform.
The 52.7-metre new build, known as NB90, was sold to an American client in collaboration with brokerage firm Edmiston and will be used for extensive charter operations in both American and European waters. Construction is already underway, with delivery scheduled ahead of the 2028 season.
Built on Bilgin's 53-metre platform, NB90 has been developed to offer generous volumes below 500GT, long-range capability and expansive outdoor areas, while offering a "lifestyle-driven layout" inside. Long-time collaborators Turkish studio Unique Yacht Design and Milan-based designer Hot Lab return for the exterior and interior design, respectively.
“With NB90, our goal is to bring the outdoor living qualities usually associated with larger yachts into a sub-500 GT platform, while preserving a sleek, modern and timeless profile,” explained Emrecan Özgün, founder of Unique Yacht Design. “The design focuses on maximising the transition between indoor and outdoor life, creating a yacht that feels open, refined and highly usable for extended cruising and charter.”
According to the yard, the yacht's layout is centred around "ease of movement, comfort and social use", with generous open-air zones across her profile, including the sundeck, bridge deck and main deck aft.
“The interior design of NB90 is shaped around a careful balance between architectural precision and softness, combining warm natural tones, refined materials and fluid geometries to create an atmosphere that feels both contemporary and timeless,” added Enrico Lumini, partner and design director of Hot Lab. “Developed in close collaboration with Bilgin Yachts and the owner, the result is an elegant, tactile and sea-connected onboard experience.”
The yacht will feature a steel and aluminium construction, with power from twin 1,066kW 2,300rpm Marine diesel engines for a maximum speed of 16 knots and a range of approximately 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. All other details remain private for now.
“This is our first new-build sales agreement with Edmiston, and we are especially pleased to have completed it together with Hannah Wolstenholme, who worked on the project,” said Berkay Yılmaz, commercial director of Bilgin Yachts. “NB90 is being acquired as a charter yacht, which makes this sale particularly exciting for us. Edmiston has a strong track record in the successful management of charter yachts, and we believe this yacht will travel widely, be seen often, and become a highly visible yacht on the international scene."
He continued: "What makes this project particularly interesting is that the 53-metre platform was designed based on the advice of a highly experienced Bilgin owner and this second hull is benefitting from the feedback of experts in yacht charter management on top of that, leading to carefully considered refinements. We expect these developments will make NB90 a very well-thought-out and successful charter yacht.”

The sale of hull one from the 53-metre platform, known as NB97, was announced at the Monaco Yacht Show last year. Both new builds join 11 other projects currently under construction at the Turkish shipyard, according to BOATPro.
