Bodrum-based shipyard BOA Yachts has announced the launch of its 40-metre wooden motorsailer, named Boa Kingdom. She has now been transported to the hardstanding area for sail installation, ahead of her final round of sea trials.
Built in full compliance with RINA Class regulations, Boa Kingdom marks the brand's first build. Once delivered, the yacht will be available for charter across the Mediterranean and Aegean.
The naval architecture has been led by Fuat Turan and the fully custom, 345GT yacht was built at Çavuşoğlu Shipyard, which specialises in wood epoxy laminate construction.
"We prefer wood for the Boa Kingdom because of its remarkable fatigue resistance, ensuring longevity," said a BOA Yachts spokesperson. "Also, wood is the most environmentally friendly option and does not harm the health of people on board."
Accommodation is for up to 12 guests with further complement for seven crew. Designed in-house in close collaboration with the owner, a Turkish businessman, Boa Kingdom boasts 345 square metres of outdoor living space. This includes a 16-square-metre swimming platform, an 84-square-metre flybridge and a Jacuzzi located on the bow.
Powered by twin 550 horsepower Volvo engines, Boa Kingdom can reach top speeds of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
"In today’s yachting world, where speed often replaces substance, we focus on integrity – in design, in material, and in vision. Building a yacht is not just about luxury; it is about legacy," added Arseven. "We are proud to see Boa Kingdom take her first steps toward the sea, carrying not only our technical expertise but also our spirit."
As a private, custom commission, no further details on Boa Kingdom have been disclosed.
