New Zealand yard Voodoo Yachts has unveiled the first details of its new in-build yacht model.
Known as the XF80, the 23.9-metre model is described by the shipyard as a "natural evolution" of its smaller XF75 platform, extended and refined to offer further space and capabilities than its predecessor. In keeping with Voodoo's efficiency at speed approach, key to the XF80 is the opportunity for guests to travel further and faster with a reduced environmental impact.
This comes into play in the model's Super Sport Edition, which features high top speeds exceeding 50 knots and cruising speeds of up to 40 knots, thanks to greater-horsepower engines, advanced hydrofoil systems and weight-optimised engineering.
Aside from high speeds, the evolved model introduces a more athletic profile than her predecessor, with an elongated, bold hull and broader deck space. Designed for adventurous owners, the XF80 also expands on the adventure capabilities of the XF75 with a larger tender garage, optional storage space beneath the cockpit sunbeds for water toys, dive equipment and expedition gear and an optional helideck (capable of landing an Airbus H145 or Bell 429) with refuelling capacity.
Onboard, living areas have been expanded both inside and out, including the cockpit and aft area with "zones" for lounging in the sun or under the shade and direct access to the handy swim platform.
The interior is bright and contemporary, defined by sculptural lines, tactile materials and a "calm and sophisticated" atmosphere. Accommodation is across a full-beam master suite, with flexible layouts for up to five en suite guest cabins or four guest cabins plus dedicated crew quarters.
"The XF80 represents a natural progression for Voodoo Yachts, taking the proven strengths of the XF75 and expanding them across every dimension," said the yard. "More space, more capability and more refinement combine to create a yacht that delivers a higher level of freedom to its owners and guests."
Voodoo Yachts unveiled its flagship catamaran model, the 36.3-metre XF450, last year.
