The Superyacht Cup Palma Richard Mille is back and celebrating its 30th edition from 24-27 June. As Europe's longest-running regatta, the four-day event will see some of the world's most prestigious sailing yachts battling it out on the Mallorcan circuit, setting off from the newly redeveloped Club de Mar-Mallorca marina.
This year's event has officially sold out, according to organisers, with 24 confirmed entries making it the Cup's largest fleet in almost two decades. The regatta will welcome a diverse fleet of high-performance sailing yachts to the picturesque Bay of Palma across five divisions: Superyacht, J Class, Café Racer, Corinthian, and, to commemorate its 30-year milestone, the new Multihull division.
BOAT takes a closer look at a handful of this year's largest competitors, including a Perini Navi icon and a fiercely competitive Vitters...
Burrasca
Length: 55.7m
Builder: Perini Navi
Year: 2003
A Ron Holland build, Burrasca is one of only two yachts from the Italian shipyard and brand of The Italian Sea Group with a total sail area of 1,560 square metres. When delivered in 2003 as the first unit in the shipyard's 56M series, the sailing yacht "mark[ed] a turning point" in Perini Navi's design ethos, not only for her impressive sail plan, but as the first 56M to feature a fully equipped gym, sauna and steam room. Constructed with an aluminium hull, she is characterised by a slippery hull line and a deep, ballasted centreboard for increased performance on the racecourse. Burrasca is no stranger to a regatta, competing in the 2025 Cyclades Cup and taking home the win in the Apollo class.
Svea
Length: 43.6m
Builder: Vitters
Year: 2017
The Dutch-built Svea is a seasoned veteran when it comes to sailing regattas. A J Class yacht with hordes of racing experience under her belt, Svea has secured several wins since her launch, including the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, the St Barths Bucket and the Ibiza JoySail. She was drawn by Hoek Design Naval Architects, who developed upon original lines designed by Tore Holm in 1937 to bring her into the 21st Century. A lightweight aluminium build, a displacement of just 182 tonnes and a 53.8-metre carbon fibre main mast are on her spec sheet. This won't be Svea's first time in Palma - she's previously competed in the Cup in 2018, 2022 and 2024, the latter of which she was winner in her class.
Rainbow

Length: 40m
Builder: Holland Jachtbouw
Year: 2012
Another returning entry to this year's Superyacht Cup Palma is the 40-metre Rainbow. An entrant in both 2014 and 2024, Rainbow battled it out with Velsheda for second place (behind the winning Svea) two years ago, and, though she missed out on second place, she was awarded the Spirit of the Event for her performance. The 40-metre sailing yacht is a modern replica of the 1934 America’s Cup winner and original J Class yacht Rainbow, built by Herreshoff in the US and designed by William Starling Burgess, with Dykstra Naval Architects tasked with bringing the new Rainbow to life. She underwent an extensive two-year refit completed in 2024, which included an engineering overhaul and a new rig, sails and winches, making her more than ready to battle it out in Mallorca once again.
Cervo
Length: 39m
Builder: Vitters
Year: 2009
Having cruised extensively in recent years, the Bill Tripp-designed performance sloop Cervo has reclaimed her place among the racing elite, returning for another year following her success as 2025 Class A's runner-up and win in 2024. Carbon composite construction keeps responsiveness up under sail, with a 2018 refit at Pendennis creating an open flush deck offering more cockpit space for the racing crew. Italian studio Nauta Design reimagined the interiors of this pedigree superyacht, which also features atypical equal-sized staterooms. Her sailing power comes from the 48-metre carbon fibre mast by Southern Spars, paired with a refined sail wardrobe from Doyle and a new in-boom furling mainsail.
Archelon
Length: 37.5m
Builder: Pendennis
Year: 2019
Archelon made her Superyacht Cup debut in 2022 and will be returning this year for another attempt on the racecourse. Constructed in the UK to a design by Oyster Design and Humphreys Yacht Design, Archelon was built as the only Oyster 1225 model. Her sailing package comprises a Southern Spars in-boom furling system, a hydraulic furling inner forestay and a mainsail arranged to take a third reef - all to ensure easy sail handling. She is currently on the charter market with Ocean Independence, offering sailing enthusiasts a chance to experience her sailing capabilities firsthand.
Inco
Length: 30.5m
Builder: Wally
Year: 2009
A first-timer to the Palma regatta scene this year is the Wally 100 yacht Inco, from the drawing boards of Luca Bassani Design and German Frers. A sloop design constructed in advanced composite, Inco is light and agile, with a fixed keel and trim tab allowing her a 4.9-metre draft. She was commissioned as a racer-cruiser, drawn with hull lines and a generous sail plan that includes a super-high modulus carbon mast and America’s Cup-derived appendages.
