Adding to its Y Class range, Princess Yachts has unveiled the 24.3 metre Y80 during the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival.

The Y80 flybridge yacht is a new iteration of the Y Class design and features continuous windows and an S-shaped hardtop. On the inside, the yacht offers its owner a range of customisations and layouts.

Princess has devised three cockpit designs for an owner to choose from, with the traditional version featuring a U-shaped dining arrangement with storage for two SeaBobs. A more dining-orientated design comes with a central cockpit table and free-standing furniture for up to eight guests. Similarly to the Princess Y85, the third option is the ‘infinity cockpit’ layout with an electric-sliding seating and table set-up that can be transformed into a relaxed sofa arrangement or an informal dining area.

The main deck is home to the cockpit, the helm area, galley, day head and the main saloon. The foredeck features a large seating area for up to 10 guests that can be reconfigured to suit any social situation. On the lower deck, four en-suite cabins, including a full-beam master stateroom with a private stairway, can sleep up to eight guests.

Above on the flybridge, guests will be able to make use of the seating and dining areas, a large sunpad and a fully-equipped wet bar. Here, there is also storage capacity for a four-metre tender or wet bike, and an integrated flybridge crane is optional. Owners can choose to add either a free-standing L-shaped seating arrangement or a spa bath with sun loungers aft.

The Princess Y80 is designed with an increased beam and advanced hull formation techniques for better control and manoeuvrability when underway. Equipped with twin MAN V12 1900hp engines, the Y80 is set to deliver speeds in excess of over 30 knots.

With the first unit set to launch during the Autumn boat shows in 2023, the all-new Y80 is joined by the Y72, the Y85 and the soon-to-be-launched flagship, the Y95.
