Following her launch earlier this month from Feadship's Royal Van Lent facility in Kaag, the 100-metre superyacht known as Project 824 has been sighted on transport through the Netherlands.
This marks the second time the yacht has been spotted on transport; the motor yacht was first spotted in September 2023 as she made her way north through the picturesque Dutch countryside to the Dutch yard's Kaag facilities for outfitting. The yacht is expected to undergo sea trials in the North Sea.
While details on the project remain sparse, Jarkko Jämsen has now been revealed as her exterior designer. This comes as no surprise, as Project 824's plumb bow, low profile and contemporary curves share notable similarities to fellow Feadship build, 77-metre 818, also designed by Jämsen. French studio Liaigre has been revealed as the project's interior designer, yet her interiors remain secretive.
Other design features include a slanted transom with a full-width staircase leading to the main deck, where there is a superyacht pool. Images from her launch also reveal rectangular cutouts on each deck's overhang, providing more light to the decks below.
She is thought to have a tender garage forward with tenders launched and recovered via a shell door, as well as unfolding balconies in the beach club.
Feadship also revealed that the superyacht is equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system with ABB pod drives for efficient, low-vibration performance. Key specs include a 13.6-metre beam and a draught of 4.1 metres.
BOATPro indicates that Project 824 was ordered in 2021. She joins a fleet of 16 other Feadships currently in development, including the 79.5-metre Project 715, christened Valor, which was launched from the yard's Aalsmeer site earlier this month and marks the yard's latest entry into the explorer yacht genre, joining the likes of Shinkai and Moonshadow.
