The fourth unit in the Mangusta Oceano 39 series has made a splash in Viareggio, Italy. The three-deck superyacht was sold to an American owner who has developed the project "shoulder to shoulder" with the yard's design team.
The series' contemporary exterior is owed to Italian designer Alberto Mancini, characterised by minimalist lines and glass gunwales on the upper deck for broad sightlines and greater connection to the ocean. Key strengths of the 39.2-metre include a bow infinity pool with a partially glass bottom – allowing natural light to filter through to the master suite – and the aft water-level beach club, which has opening side terraces that increase the overall space.
Expectedly, this unit has a layout optimised to US market preferences, including a central convertible bar in the main saloon. An interior volume of 330GT houses a skylounge, indoor dining and accommodation for 12 guests and seven crew.
"The launch of this fourth unit is a strategic accomplishment for our brand, confirming Mangusta's leadership position on the US market," said Mangusta Americas' president Stefano Arlunno. "We’ve been able to interpret and anticipate the needs of highly experienced and demanding owners, proposing yachts that combine spaciousness, outstanding performances and cutting-edge innovations."
The yacht has twin MTU engines for a maximum speed of 18 knots and a range of 2,050 nautical miles.
According to BOATPro, Mangusta Yachts has 18 superyacht projects on order or under construction.
