Giamboi Designs, Van Oossanen and Tureddi Yachts unveil new Azzurra yacht design

Italian studio Giamboi Designs, Dutch studio Van Oossanen Naval Architects and Italian yard Tureddi Yachts have taken the opportunity of this year's Monaco Yacht Show to unveil a new collaborative yacht design.

Known as the Azzurra Linea36 Custom Platform, the new model builds on the previous Azzurra Series from Giamboi and Van Oossanen (unveiled in April), which comprises designs from 30 to 50 metres with "envelope-pushing" features.

The Azzurra Linea36 has been designed as a "bold new chapter" for the collection: retaining the Italian design DNA and the Dutch precision of the series while allowing for complete personalisation and custom layouts onboard.

As with the previous Azzurra designs, the yacht is built on Van Oossanen’s proven Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), and features enhanced efficiency, comfort and long-range capability paired with a "reimagined" deck layout curated for both lifestyle and functionality. Tureddi's "precision craftsmanship" allows for streamlined technical spaces, a flush aft deck, and a "redefined" transom that aims to simplify operations and elevate the onboard experience.

Inside, highlights include a panoramic owner's suite on the main deck and a "rare" VIP cabin on the upper deck. Exterior areas are expansive, with a large sundeck, a forward-facing pool and multiple lounging spaces aft. Designed for both private use and chartering, the Linea36 is said to deliver a lifestyle "more often associated with larger yachts".

Mauro Giamboi, Founder of Giamboi Designs, said: "The Azzurra series has always been about balance: clean lines, optimised volumes, flawless performance and timeless design. With the Linea36, we’ve reinterpreted those principles around a fully custom brief. Linea reflects both continuity with our original vision and the unique trajectory of this model, made possible through close collaboration with Van Oossanen and the expert craftsmanship of Tureddi."

"This is far more than a stylistic variation," added Perry van Oossanen. "The hull form, performance envelope, weight distribution, and internal volumes have all been re-engineered for this yacht – ensuring efficiency and customisation in every detail."

The Monaco Yacht Show has been a busy time for the Italian shipyard, which also announced a new line of displacement crossover yachts designed by Italian designer Leonardo Cecchi.
