Piredda & Partners lifts lid on 38m support yacht concept

Italian design studio Piredda & Partners has unveiled a 38-metre yacht concept, the second designed in collaboration with Italian shipyard Cantieri Navali di Termoli by Italian Vessels.

Known as Ombra, the yacht has been developed as a functional companion yacht designed, according to the studio, to extend the operational capabilities of a yacht while maintaining a strong and distinctive design identity.

Constructed in steel and aluminium, the yacht's exterior is contemporary yet purposeful, with proportions that extol the virtues of a true support vessel.

As a result, she offers generous deck capacity, with ample space to carry tenders, toys, vehicles and specialist equipment. Alternative configurations further expand the vessel's capabilities, including a version with a certified helipad.

Onboard, the main deck is bright and clean, with a neutral colour palette that creates a comfortable, inviting main salon. A generously sized family kitchen sits forward, well stocked with the amenities guests expect, including two fridges and a freezer with an ice maker.

A central feature of this yacht is the briefing room on the main deck, fitted with a large TV screen to display expedition itineraries and a spacious 12-seater conference-style table. Completing the space are two vintage nautical maps.

Ombra can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests across nine cabins, including an owner's cabin and a VIP cabin on the lower deck. Up to six crew members can stay in three dedicated cabins.

According to Piredda & Partners, the model is ready to build, with delivery available in 2029.

The studio recently unveiled a 41-metre concept called Nexus, a semi-custom model conceived for modern owners seeking comfortable living, functional spaces and enjoyment of life at sea.
