Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) has delivered the 33.1-metre explorer yacht Ammonite to her experienced owners, Marcus and Caroline Blackmore, marking the fourth yacht in the Nauta Air 110 line and the owners' third Nauta yacht.
Developed in collaboration with Nauta, the yacht features interior and exterior designs that reflect a long-standing partnership and a deep understanding of the owner's lifestyle. Hydro Tec penned her naval architecture and engineering.
Nauta co-founder and CEO Massimo Gino said: "It was one of those wonderful projects where the relationships bring out the best in everyone."
Ammonite's exteriors combine elegant explorer yacht lines with balanced proportions, as shown in her warm, cream-toned hull.
Expansive exterior living spaces play a central role in the yacht's design, including a commodious beach platform and versatile sundeck conceived as the yacht's main social hub.
Inside, Nauta drew inspiration from the warm, relaxed atmosphere of a South Pacific beach house. Natural materials, soft textures and an emphasis on connecting guests with the surrounding environment illustrate this key theme.
Key specifications include a 7.55-metre beam, a full-load displacement of 250GT and accommodation for 10 guests across five cabins, with additional Pullman berths. Crew quarters accommodate five staff across three cabins.
Powered by twin Caterpillar C18 Acert engines, Ammonite has a top speed of 13 knots and a reported transoceanic range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. Fuel capacity stands at 42,970 litres.
The delivery follows a busy period for the Ancona-based builder, which has continued to expand its presence in the explorer yacht sector with deliveries across its Flexplorer, Deep Blue and Nauta Air ranges. Earlier this year, BOAT International spoke to Blackmore about his love of sailing – and his first big motor yacht project.
According to BOATPro data, CdM has nine yachts currently under construction, including the 31-metre motor yacht Mon Couer, scheduled to be delivered this year.
