The first renderings of Golden Yachts' 60-metre project O'Madeleine have been released ahead of her launch this summer. According to BOATPro, the superyacht was commissioned in 2022, with construction beginning the following year at the shipyard's facilities in Perama, Greece.
O'Madeleine's design team are all-Italian and longstanding collaborators with Golden Yachts. Massari Design curated and designed the exterior guest areas, saloons, staircase, beach area, and sundeck, while Studio Vafiadis designed the exterior lines and superstructure, with a focus on the guest cabin designs. Previous projects include the 87.6-metre Project X and 84.7-metre O'Ptasia.
O Madeleine's "charter-friendly" layout sees four guest cabins located on the lower deck and the fifth VIP cabin positioned on the upper deck. The owner's suite can be found on the main deck, featuring a large walk-in closet and marble detailing in the en suite.
The interiors have been developed "in close collaboration with the owner" and incorporate soft, sculptural furniture and leather ceiling vaults that add a certain loftiness to the living spaces, combined with hidden lights "that create absolutely new optical effects". Oak has been chosen as the prevailing wood, with the light shade complemented by bright colours, particularly in the cabins.
"From the finely grained wood paneling that lines the walls to the textured stingray leather, handwoven rugs, straw panels, and hand-carved marble, there is a palpable sense of authenticity and craftsmanship," added designer Alessandro Massari.
O 'Madeleine has three main social hubs: the flydeck veranda, which has sunbeds, a bar, a lounge and a generous bow pool; the main saloon, which adjoins a formal dining room; and the beach club with its spa, Hammam, bar, and lounge space. The adjoining stern platform can be fitted with loose furniture.
There is also a space for dining on the upper deck, served by an al fresco galley, while a more "intimate" lounge with a second bar and television screen can be found on the main deck aft.
O'Madeleine comes with a bow garage that houses a 7.5-metre dinghy and a five-metre rescue tender, both lowered inside an "island" that breaks into the deck, making the toys almost invisible to onlookers. Jet Ski storage, meanwhile, has been allocated to the beach club.
Another collaboration between Golden Yachts and Vafiadis, the 94.6-metre O'Pari was recently selected as BOAT International's charter yacht of the week. She is listed with Fraser and is currently cruising Greece and the Mediterranean.
