Moonen Yachts' 37.4-metre Lumière is currently undergoing sea trials on Haringvliet Lake. She will be delivered to her Australian owners ahead of the summer and is expected to spend her first season in the Mediterranean.

Described as a "home away from home", the yacht belongs to the Dutch shipyard's Martinique 122 series with a design by René van der Velden.

She was launched in early March 2024

This particular hull is slightly bigger than her sisterships and has been customised to suit the owners' tastes and use of the yacht. Onboard highlights include an extended sundeck and large Jacuzzi pool, as well as an extended swim platform providing an additional eight square metres of space thanks to an integrated folding platform. An almost continuous band of windows wrapping around the main and bridge decks offer panoramic views.

The interior offers up 345GT of volume and will be designed by London-based Studio Indigo, which also handled the interior on board the first Martinique hull named Brigadoon. Accommodation is for 12 guests and seven crew.

The hull was constructed at the Talsma Shipyard in the Netherlands – the first time a Martinique hull was built by an external shipyard – before being transported to Moonen's Den Bosch shipyard.

Moonen Yachts' technical director Nicky van Zon commented on the launch: "We are incredibly proud to see Lumière successfully launched. We can’t wait to see her glimmer in the Mediterranean sunlight. Lumière will be the most exquisite way to experience all the beautiful worldwide destinations her owners will take her to. She is a stunning example of Moonen design excellence and attention to detail. You can sense the dedication and craftsmanship that our team has put into her construction."

The fifth hull, sold in 2022, will complete final outfitting and commissioning with her crew during the coming months.

The completed project will have a top speed of 17 knots, with a 4,000 nautical mile range when cruising at 10 knots.
