The Nations Trophy came to a close on Sunday (12 October), marking the grand finale of the 2025 Nations League. The regatta took place over five days in Saint-Tropez, France, with over 50 Nautor Swan yachts taking part alongside sailors from more than 30 countries.

Organised by Nautor Swan's yacht racing division, ClubSwan Racing, the Nations League comprises eight regattas throughout the year held across the Mediterranean. Beginning in March, the 2025 league kicked off in Monaco and continued through cities such as Bonifacio, Porto Cervo, and Lake Garda before concluding in Saint-Tropez this weekend.

The finale Nations Trophy regatta brought together the full ClubSwan family, in what was a "spectacular celebration of sport, style and international spirit", the organisers said. Saint-Tropez provided perfect conditions for a full series of races for most classes, and sailors came away prosperous.

Germany won the pinnacle Nations Trophy 2025, notably due to the combined strength of the 16.7-metre Earlybird, owned by Hendrik Brandis, in the ClubSwan 50 class and the 14.8-metre Ambra in the Swan Rating division: the first country to unite both One Design and Rating fleets in a single win.

Other racing victories during the regatta included Cuordileone, in the ClubSwan 36 class, Nadir, in the "hotly contested" ClubSwan 42 class, Vargen, which was undefeated in the ClubSwan 43 class, and Ulika, which won the Swan 45 title. Meanwhile, the ClubSwan 28 class, said to see "remarkable growth and talent this season", crowned Freya, owned by Jay Cross, as champion.

In the Rating class – a fleet comprising Swan yachts of various sizes and styles under the shared spirit of performance – it was Quatre Quarts 4, a Swan 58 from France, which took the overall win.

"It’s been an intense week, full of meaningful moments but, above all, of fun for our owners, who truly appreciated the unique setting of Saint-Tropez," said CEO of Nautor Swan, Giovanni Pomati. "I also took part as an owner myself, to fully experience the atmosphere of the Rating group, which we brought for the first time alongside the One Design fleet. It was a positive experience that brought together the different souls of the Swan world, once again highlighting the strength and spirit of this incredible family."

With the Nations Trophy concluding the 2025 Nations League, the titles for the year were also announced in Saint-Tropez. In the ClubSwan 50 class, Earlybird again took the winning crown, Pez de Abril nabbed the ClubSwan 42 leaderboard (despite not competing in Saint-Tropez), Fra Martina took the overall win in the hotly contested ClubSwan 36 fleet, and in the ClubSwan 28, Marcello came out victorious. Anya Race won the Boat of the Year, while the Best Bowman Trophy was awarded to Nick Beulke of Earlybird.

"The 2025 ClubSwan Racing season has been a remarkable journey, uniting passionate sailors and world-class yachts across stunning venues and competitive events", added ClubSwan Racing managing director, Luisa Bambozzi. "It’s been a year defined by performance, elegance and the strong sense of community that sets ClubSwan apart."

He concluded: "With eyes now set on the USA and Japan, the 2026 season promises to further expand this global journey".

The 2026 Nations League dates are yet to be announced.
